These terms are the agreement between you and us for your use of xquid. Please read them. If you do not agree with them, do not use xquid.
1. What xquid is
xquid is a personal financial-planning web application. It takes the recurring pieces of your money life — your income, your commitments, your accounts and balances — and plays them forward so you can see the shape of where you are headed, and how a change would move it.
xquid is a projection tool. It shows you the consequences of assumptions, most of which you supply. It is not a bank, a broker, a lender, a tax preparer, or an adviser of any kind, and it does not hold, move, or manage your money.
2. Who may use it
You must be 18 or older to use xquid. During the current pre-release phase, access is limited to people we have specifically invited, and we may withdraw access at any time.
If you are using xquid on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms for it.
3. Your account
You are responsible for the account you create: for keeping your password to yourself, and for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly at legal@xquid.tech if you believe someone else has gained access to it.
You agree that the email address you register is one you control, and you agree to verify it when we ask.
4. xquid is not financial advice
Nothing xquid produces is financial, investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice. Every chart, number, projection, plan item, and suggestion — including anything the AI assistant says — is an illustration, generated from assumptions, most of which you entered yourself.
- A projection is not a prediction. It shows what would follow if the assumptions held. They will not hold. Real life includes market returns nobody can forecast, inflation nobody can forecast, job changes, illness, tax-law changes, and events with no line item.
- The model is deliberately simplified, and in places it is incomplete. Where we know a simplification could matter to how you read a number, we try to say so on the screen where the number appears. We do not promise to have caught every one.
- You are the one making the decisions. Do not treat an xquid projection as a reason to buy, sell, borrow, refinance, retire, or make any other financial commitment. For decisions that matter, consult a qualified professional who can look at your actual circumstances.
- We do not guarantee accuracy. We work hard to make the arithmetic correct and we test it, but we do not warrant that any figure, projection, or output is accurate, complete, or suitable for your situation.
5. This is pre-release software
xquid is in active development and is currently offered as a free pre-release to invited testers. That means, honestly:
- Features will change, and some will be removed.
- There is no uptime commitment. The service may be unavailable, sometimes without notice.
- Data loss is possible. We take reasonable care and we do not plan to lose anything, but you should not treat xquid as the only record of anything you cannot reconstruct.
- We may change or end the free pre-release, and introduce paid plans, with notice.
6. Your data
Your plan is yours. What we collect, what we deliberately never collect, who we share it with, and how to delete all of it is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
- Connecting a bank is optional. If you choose to, the connection is handled by Plaid; your bank credentials are entered in Plaid's own screen and never pass through us. Plaid's own terms and privacy policy apply to that part.
- The AI assistant is optional. If you use it, the planning details in that conversation are sent to our AI provider to generate a reply. We do not train AI models on your data.
7. Acceptable use
Use xquid for its purpose, and do not:
- attempt to gain access to another person's account or data, or to any part of our systems you were not granted;
- probe, scan, or test the security of the service except with our written permission;
- use automated means to access the service at a volume or rate that degrades it for others, or to scrape it;
- resell, rent, or redistribute the service;
- upload anything unlawful, or use xquid to do anything unlawful.
We may suspend or terminate access that breaks these rules.
8. The AI assistant
xquid includes an optional AI assistant. It is a language model, and it can be wrong — including confidently and specifically wrong. It may describe a mechanism that does not exist or state a figure it did not compute. Treat what it says as a starting point to check, not a finding to act on. Section 4 applies to it in full.
Use of the assistant is subject to fair-use limits, which we may change.
9. Availability and changes to the service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of xquid at any time. Where a change would remove something you rely on, we will give notice where it is reasonable to do so.
10. Intellectual property
xquid, its software, design, and content are owned by Helios Portal, LLC. These terms give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service — and nothing more.
Your data stays yours. We claim no ownership of the plan you build. We use it only to run the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, xquid is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure against every threat, or that any projection or output will be accurate or suitable for your circumstances.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Helios Portal, LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, lost savings, lost data, or financial losses arising from decisions you made in reliance on xquid.
Our total liability for any claim relating to xquid will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or US $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; where that is so, these limits apply only as far as the law allows.
13. Termination
You may stop using xquid and request deletion of your data at any time — see the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the service or other users, or if we discontinue the service. Sections 4, 10, 11, 12, and 14 survive termination.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [to be set at publication], United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in that state will have jurisdiction over any dispute, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any competent court.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as xquid changes. When we make a material change, we will revise the version and effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use xquid after an update means you accept the revised terms.
